Product Use & Care

Fondue Combo Use & Care
Read all instructions before using your Chantal Cookware. Save these instructions.

Care and Cleaning:

  • Before first use, wash in hot soapy water, rinse and towel dry. DO NOT use the ceramic pot until it is completely dry.

Ceramic Pot (For Chocolate and Cheese):

  • Pot can be put in the dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer. For occasional dried-on food, sprinkle with a teaspoon of baking soda and water and scrub with a nylon or plastic scrubber, or try Chantal Enamel/Ceramic Cleaner (available on our website). Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach or other strong cleaners.

  • Do not run cold water into a hot dish, cracking could occur from sudden temperature change.

  • Can withstand high oven temperatures, including broiler. Do not use ceramic on gas, traditional electric stovetop or induction stovetop.

  • To prevent chipping or breakage, do not drop, over stack or knock against sides of sink.

  • Before microwaving frozen dishes, thaw in refrigerator for best results.

  • To preheat a recipe on stove, use a traditional cooking pot (not ceramic) then pour into ceramic fondue pot. Or heat in microwave in ceramic fondue pot.

  • Place the diffuser on stand with washing instructions facing upward. NOTE: The diffuser plate is only to be used with the ceramic fondue pot.

Stainless Pot (For Oil and Broth):

  • Keep your stainless fondue looking beautiful by soaking in hot soapy water after use. Then wash, rinse and hand dry. Chantal is dishwasher safe, but hand drying is recommended for a spotless shine. NOTE: Everyday use may result in minor scratching; this will not interfere with cooking performance.

  • The spatterguard is only for use with the stainless steel pot.

  • Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach or other strong cleaners.

  • Occasionally buff with Chantal Stainless/Aluminum Cleaner (available on our website) for a "like new" luster or Cameo aluminum/stainless cleaner.

Both Pots

  • For best results, stir contents periodically. Add a small amount of liquid if bubbling occurs.

  • Heat can be regulated by opening or partially closing the holes of the burner lid. To extinguish flame, place damper lid over burner holes.

CAUTION:

The burner will be extremely hot while flame is burning. Be careful when replacing or adding fuel in a hot burner

Do not use any alcohol fuel in the Chantal burner as serious injury could occur. Wear an Oven Mitt when Pot is Hot!
